Fleetwood Mac — with or without Sheryl Crow in tow — is planning to be active again.
Singer/guitarist Lindsey Buckingham — who’s just released a new concert DVD, “Live at the Bass Performance Hall,” from his 2006-07 solo tour — tells Billboard.com that the group is “looking at the idea of touring sometime in the first half of 2009,” possibly with some new material to play.
In recent weeks Crow, who’s friendly with Mac’s Stevie Nicks, has talked about joining the band, which Buckingham acknowledges is a possibility, though he adds, “I don’t think anything is written in stone yet.”
Lindsey Buckingham to Release Live DVD March 25, 2008
“Live at the Bass Performance Hall” Captures Electric Spirit of Singer, Songwriter, and Guitarist’s First U.S. Solo Tour in 14 Years

Lindsey Buckingham will release a live DVD, the first ever of his 27-year career as a solo artist, titled “Live at the Bass Performance Hall,” on March 25, 2008.
Shot at the Bass Performance Hall in Forth Worth, TX, on January 27th, 2007, the performance captures the innovative, tightly orchestrated minimalism that characterized the acclaimed singer, songwriter and guitarist’s first U.S. solo tour in nearly 14 years. The DVD finds Buckingham, joined by his three-piece band, transitioning easily on stage between his solo back catalog (”Trouble,” “Go Insane,” and “Holiday Road”) and electrifying versions of his hits with Fleetwood Mac (”Tusk,” “Second Hand News,” “Go Your Own Way”).
The show also features performances of six cuts from Buckingham’s latest album, the intricately crafted, acoustic-guitar driven “Under The Skin,” including “Not Too Late,” “Show You How,” and “Shut Us Down.” Buckingham’s “Under the Skin” tour, which took place over 2006-2007, was enthusiastically received by critics. The New York Times praised the artist’s appearance at New York’s Town Hall, saying that, “the strength of Buckingham’s songs, his singing and guitar playing, and his strange intensity as a performer carried the evening,” while “his stamina kept the music’s energy fresh and volatile.” The Chicago Tribune called Buckingham “an enigmatic rock’n’roll icon” whose tour is “worth the wait.”
The “Live at the Bass Performance Hall” DVD package also includes the documentary “Not Too Late” — which consists of more than 45 minutes of exclusive, behind the scenes bonus footage shot and produced by Lindsey Buckingham himself — as well as, an audio CD with the same track-listing as the DVD minus “Tusk.”
The complete track-listing for the DVD is as follows:
Not Too Late, Trouble, Never Going Back Again, Second Hand News, Castaway Dreams, It Was You, Big Love, Go Insane, Under The Skin, I’m So Afraid, I Know I’m Not Wrong, Tusk, Go Your Own Way, Holiday Road, Show You How, Shut Us Down.
Plus bonus documentary “Not Too Late”

Singer-Songwriter/Guitarist Touring Behind His Critically Acclaimed Solo Album, “Under The Skin”

Buckingham and his three-piece band present an innovative, tightly orchestrated minimalism that captures the spirit of the Fleetwood Mac singer and guitarist’s most recent solo album, the intricately crafted, acoustic guitar-driven “Under The Skin,” which was released by Reprise Records on October 3rd.
The summer dates, which conclude June 30th, follow the enthusiastically received autumn, winter, and spring legs of Buckingham’s nationwide trek. The New York Times praised the artist’s appearance at New York’s Town Hall, saying that, “the strength of Buckingham’s songs, his singing and guitar playing, and his strange intensity as a performer carried the evening,” while “his stamina kept the music’s energy fresh and volatile.” The Chicago Tribune calls Buckingham “an enigmatic rock’n'roll icon” whose tour is “worth the wait.” The Austin American Statesman says Buckingham “mesmerizes and gets the crowd moving.”
Critics have equally applauded “Under The Skin,” hailing Buckingham’s first solo album since 1992’s “Out Of The Cradle” as “magnificent” (The Washington Post), “a stellar comeback” (Blender), and “a mesmerizing return to the side of Buckingham that birthed the proto-indie pop strangeness of 1979’s ‘Tusk’” (Rolling Stone).

His recent television appearances include “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” “The Ellen Degeneres Show,” PBS’s “Tavis Smiley,” “Soundstage,” CBS’s “Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” and CMT’s “Crossroads,” where he appears with country quartet Little Big Town.
