7th Feb 1980	Fleetwood Mac are featured on the cover of US magazine "Rolling Stone" with an article on the band included in the magazine.
Mar 1980	*The single Think About Me* is released in the US reaching #20 on the US charts.**
27th Mar 1980	North American Tour Opens.
May 1980	*The single Think About Me* is released in the UK but misses the charts.**
1st Jun 1980	*European Tour opens in London, England in support of Tusk.*
7th Jun 1980	*The single Sisters Of The Moon* is released in the US reaching #86.**

25th Feb 1981	*Fleetwood Mac is nominated at the 23rd Annual Grammy Awards for Best Album Package for Tusk, but fails to win the award.*
28th Feb 1981	*The single Fireflies* is released in the US reaching #60.**
Mar 1981	*The single The Farmer's Daughter* is released, but misses both the UK and US charts.**
May 1981	*Sessions begin for the Mirage* album in Le Chateau, Herouville, France**
Jun 1981	*Sessions end for Mirage* and the studio overdubs begin in Larrabee Sound, Los Angeles, these will last till December 1981.**
Jul 1981	Mick Fleetwood solo album The Visitor is released, this album was recorded in Ghana, Africa using African session musicians. It also marks the re-appearance of Peter Green who also performs on guitar, The album makes US #43 but fails to make the UK charts.
8th Jul 1981	Stevie Nicks solo single Stop Draggin' My Heart Around, >a duet with Tom Petty, from the Bella Donna album is released, reaching #3 on the US charts and #50 on the UK charts.
27th Jul 1981	*Stevie Nicks first solo album Bella Donna* is released, reaching #1 on the US charts and #11 on the UK charts.**

19th Nov 1981	Stevie Nicks, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Christine McVie appear with Bob Welch at his concert at The Roxy in Los Angeles. The show is recorded for broadcast on MTV and subsequent CD release as Bob Welch And Friends Live From The Roxy.
28th Nov 1981	*Stevie Nicks solo tour supporting Bella Donna* opens in Houston, Texas. The tour is known as the "White Winged Dove Tour".**
13th Dec 1981	The "White Winged Dove Tour" comes to an end in Los Angeles. The tour only opens in the US and a recording of the last night will later be released on video, as well as the audio tracks that will later be released on the deluxe edition of Bella Donna that was released in Nov 2016.

4th Feb 1982	*Stevie Nicks solo single Edge Of Seventeen* is released, reaching #11 on the US charts.**
24th Feb 1982	Stevie Nicks attends the 24th Annual Grammy Awards and is nominated for two awards - Best Rock Vocal Performance by a Duo or Group for Stop Draggin My Heart Around and Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for Edge Of Seventeen, Stevie fails to win the award.

7th Aug 1982	Mirage album is released, where it goes on to reach US #1 and UK #5.
16th Aug 1982	Tour rehearsals commence for the upcoming Mirage tour.
1st Sept 1982	A short US tour opens in Greensboro, North Carolina in support of Mirage.
4th Sept 1982	*The single Gypsy* is released hitting #12 on the US charts and #46 on the UK charts.**
21/22 Oct 1982	The Mirage concert is filmed at The Forum, Los Angeles for a future official video release and unofficial DVD release. Audio tracks from this recording will finally officially surface on the deluxe edition of Mirage that was released in Sept 2016.
31st Oct 1982	Mirage US tour ends in Austin, Texas.

Aug 1983	Mick Fleetwood releases his second solo album I'm Not Me under the name of "Mick Fleetwood's Zoo", but this will fail to chart. RCA then release Mick from his contract.
3rd Sept 1983	*Stevie Nicks solo single If Anyone Falls* is released, reaching #14 on the US charts, but fails to make the UK charts.**
24th Nov 1983	Stevie Nicks solo tour comes to an end in Columbia, South Carolina. The tour only opens in the US.
30th Nov 1983	*Stevie Nicks solo single Nightbird* is released, reaching #33 on the US charts, but fails to make the UK charts.**
10th Dec 1983	*Stevie Nicks appears on "Saturday Night Live" performing Stand Back* and >Nightbird.**.

28th Feb 1984	*Stevie Nicks is nominated at the 25th Annual Grammy Awards for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance for Stand Back, Stevie fails to win the award.*
28th Feb 1984	Christine McVie attends the 25th Annual Grammy Awards where Christine presents the awards for the best pop male vocal and best pop female vocal.

28th Jan 1985	Lindsey Buckingham attends the recording of 'We Are The World', a pan America charity single in aid of the starvation in Africa. Lindsey sings on the chorus on the track. The song will make #1 on the US Billboard single chart and #1 on the UK singles chart when released in March.
26th Feb 1985	Stevie Nicks is nominated at the 26th Annual Grammy Awards for Best Album of Original Score written for a Motion Picture or Television Special for Against All Odds (with various artists), Stevie fails to win the award.
Aug 1985	Christine McVie recruits Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Lindsey Buckingham to help record Can't Help Falling In Love for A Fine Mess soundtrack. This will lead to future studio recordings which will evolve into the Tango In The Night album.
13th Sept 1985	Nominated in seven categories, Lindsey Buckingham goes home empty-handed from the 2nd annual MTV Video Music Awards at Radio City Music Hall, New York, NY.
Oct 1985	*Fleetwood Mac begin studio sessions for the Tango In The Night* album at Rumbo Records, California**
28th Oct 1985	*Stevie Nicks solo single Talk To Me* is released, reaching #4 on the US charts and #68 on the UK charts.**

Aug 1987	*The single Little Lies* is released in the US hitting #4.**
7th Aug 1987	Lindsey Buckingham declines to tour with Fleetwood Mac in support of Tango In The Night.

Jun 1988	*The single Isn't It Midnight* is released in the UK and makes #60.**
Oct 1988	Tango In The Night tour video is released.
