Sixth London date among new additions to Fleetwood Mac UK tour | NME

Band also add dates in Birmingham, Leeds and Glasgow

Fleetwood Mac have added an extra night in London to their 2015 UK and Irish tour.

Tickets for the original run of shows went on sale last month (November 14). Today it has been confirmed that the band will now play a sixth London date plus additional gigs in Birmingham, Leeds and Glasgow. Tickets for the new dates are available from 9am tomorrow (December 4).

The new dates will see the band play London’s O2 Arena on June 27, Birmingham Genting Arena on July, Leeds First Direct Arena on the 5th and SSE Hydro in Glasgow on July 8.

The shows will feature Christine McVie, who recently rejoined the group and performing with her old bandmates for the first time since 1997.

Drummer Mick Fleetwood recently denied that Fleetwood Mac will be appearing at Glastonbury in 2015.

Fleetwood Mac to headline Isle of Wight Festival 2015 | BBC Newsbeat

Fleetwood Mac have been announced as the first headline act of Isle of Wight 2015.

The band had been heavily linked with set at Glastonbury next year

The band’s set at Seaclose Park will be their only festival show of the year.

The set on Sunday 14 June, which will close the festival, will include original member Christine McVie, who recently confirmed that she would be rejoining the band.

Festival organiser John Giddings told Newsbeat: “It’s the best news I’ve had in a long while.”

He said that he had been asking the band to perform at the Isle of Wight for the last seven years.

“Every year I have asked without fail,” he revealed. “I’d like to tell you otherwise but it’s true, I have begged them.”

Fleetwood Mac have added an extra night in London to their 2015 UK and Irish tour.

The shows will feature ChristineMcVie, who recently rejoined the group and performing with her oldbandmates for the first time since 1997.The band’s Mick Fleetwood recently denied that Fleetwood Mac will be appearing at Glastonbury in 2015.

Despite Fleetwood’s statement, the band have remained one of the favourites to top the bill at the event next year, though Michael Eavis has stated in recent weeks that the chances of the band headlining were looking unlikely.

“One of the things that I’d like to clear up is that we’re not playing Glastonbury,” Fleetwood told Radio 2. “A lot of folks think that we are, so loud and clear: We love Glastonbury and all the surrounding history of such a lovely festival but we’re not playing it.”

Fleetwood added: “No bad faith for Glastonbury because I just don’t want people thinking it’s us.” He was then asked if this meant the band will never play Worthy Farm to which the drummer replied: “Never say never.”

Fleetwood Mac announce extra Manchester date for UK 2015 tour | Digital Spy

Fleetwood Mac have added an extra Manchester show to their 2015 UK tour following high demand.

The band have already added extra London dates to the tour.

‘On With The Show’ sees Christine McVie returning to the line-up after 16 years.

The band are currently touring the US without McVie, with 70 shows there before the 15-gig European leg of the tour begins on May 27, 2015 and continues through to July 1.

It follows McVie rejoining the band in 2013 at the O2 to perform ‘Don’t Stop.’

Speaking after the performance, McVie said: “It was so comfortable being back onstage with them as if no time had passed, and then we all started talking and it feels like the time is right. I’m really happy.”

The rest of Fleetwood Mac added in a statement: “As far as we’re concerned, she’s never really left. We are overjoyed to have Christine back onstage with us.”

Dates in Birmingham, Glasgow and London added to meet huge demand

Due to phenomenal demand, Fleetwood Mac have added more dates at  to their 2015 UK tour. Full dates and ticket details are below. 

The ‘Don’t Stop’ returning rock icons are hitting the road next summer with their ‘classic’ Rumours line-up featuring Christine McVie, and after tickets went on sale this morning, they’ll now play a longer string of dates across the UK.

These include a second night at Birmingham’s LG Arena on June 9, an extra night at Glasgow’s SSE Hydro on June 17, as well two extra shows at the O2 Arena London on June 22 and 24.

Following a record sell out tour in 2013, rock legends Fleetwood Mac are set to return to the UK in 2015 with their ‘On With The Show’ Tour. Currently on the road in the US, the phenomenally successful ‘On With The Show’ tour is presently clocking in at almost 70 shows across the country. Currently performing with their five star lineup, Fleetwood Mac will be joined by returning songbird Christine McVie following a 16 year absence.

The European run will begin on 27th May 2015 at The O2, London and will stop in Amsterdam, Cologne, Antwerp, Birmingham, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin culminating in Leeds on 30th June. Tickets go on general sale on Friday 14th November 2014 from www.livenation.co.uk

During Fleetwood Mac’s 2013 tour, the four members happily welcomed Christine back on the stage during their show at London’s O2 Arena, where she performed their classic “Don’t Stop” and received a wild ovation from the crowd. “It was so comfortable being back onstage with them as if no time had passed, and then we all started talking and it feels like the time is right. The band have remained one of the favourites to top the bill at the event next year, though Michael Eavis has stated in recent weeks that the chances of the band headlining were looking unlikely.

All doubt has now been removed now though, with Fleetwood telling Chris Evans on BBC Radio 2 this morning (November 7) that the group will not be one of the three headliners.

“One of the things that I’d like to clear up is that we’re not playing Glastonbury,” he said. “A lot of folks think that we are, so loud and clear: We love Glastonbury and all the surrounding history of such a lovely festival but we’re not playing it.”

Fleetwood Mac Expand Reunion Tour Into 2015 | Ultimate Classic Rock

Fleetwood Mac won’t stop. Still in the midst of their 40-date On With the Show tour, the group is adding a whopping 28 more shows for 2015 as fans celebrate a reunion with longtime, and long-absent, member Christine McVie.

This second leg will begin in January in St. Paul, Minn., and continue to New York, Atlantic City, Montreal, Chicago, Cleveland and St. Louis. Tickets for the new dates will go on sale Monday, Oct. 13 . A complete list of new dates and cities can be found below.

McVie’s return, after 16 years in retirement, has led to an expanded set list that includes Fleetwood Mac favorites like ‘You Make Loving Fun,’ ‘Little Lies’ and the show-closing ‘Songbird.’ She had been with the group since 1970 before leaving in 1998.

Lindsey Buckingham has described this tour as “a beautiful, profound, poetic new chapter now that this lady is back with us. And it’s a chapter that is going to go on for a while. A chapter that is going to yield much fruit. We are very, very excited.”

Fleetwood Mac’s Christine McVie gives Perfect performance on Today Show | Daily Mail (UK)

Return of the (Fleetwood) Mac! Christine McVie gives a Perfect performance as band’s classic line-up plays together for first time in 16 years on Today show

It has been 16 years since they played together as a band.

And it was like break never happened as Christine McVie and the rest of the most famous iteration of Fleetwood Mac appeared on the Today show on Thursday.

And the English-American group, who have sold more than 100 million albums, thrilled the fans with a performance of hits Little Lies, Gypsy, Go Your Own Way, and The Chain.

And Christine, 71, said a new piece of jewellery was a symbol of her intention to remain with the band for the foreseeable future.

She said: ‘Stevie brought me a bracelet not long ago, it was a chain, it broke, I had someone tie it on. It means the chain is never going to break again.’

And singer Nicks said she could not believe how well the band, who are embarking on a massive tour, have been playing since her return.

Stevie said: ‘She came back and just threw herself into it in such a strong and confident way, it was like a parallel universe that maybe we left.

‘I hear a count-off in songs and its almost like the 16 years she was gone didn’t exist.
