A two-hour performance and Q&A at the school’s Bovard Auditorium included a nod to “Tusk.”

Lindsey Buckingham didn’t attend the University of Southern California — the Fleetwood Mac guitarist went to San Jose State University outside the Bay Area — but on Wednesday night (April 29) at USC’s Bovard Auditorium, he received a king’s welcome at the downtown Los Angeles campus.
It’s no wonder: it was with the USC marching band that Buckingham and Fleetwood Mac recorded the seminal Tusk in 1979, footage of which kicked off the two-hour program, while a performance of the title track and Mac favorite “Go Your Own Way” — with the current marching band — ended the evening. On Apr 20th Forty Below Records will release ‘Live in 1967’ from John Mayall’s Bluesbreakers on CD that includes the first live captured performance of Mick Fleetwood, John McVie and Peter Green before they formed Fleetwood Mac.
